Dean M. Colucci is a seasoned legal and investment banking professional with extensive experience across mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, structured finance, and infrastructure development.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Colucci has been involved in more than 250 transactions with an aggregate notional value exceeding $15 billion, spanning industries such as energy, REITs and real estate, life sciences, financial services, transportation, technology, MLPs, and oil and gas. Formerly he was the President and Head of Investment Banking at MLV & Co. in New York, he led the firm through a period of significant growth, increasing annual revenue sixfold over five years. He also served as Vice Chairman of 1055 Partners, a principal co-investment platform affiliated with MLV & Co.
In M&A, Mr. Colucci has advised public and private companies, financial sponsors, and family offices on control and non-control investments, joint ventures, and complex business combinations. . He has also worked with financial advisors on fairness opinions in connection with such transactions. He has further represented clients in the acquisition, development, financing, and sale of several billion dollars of infrastructure assets across sectors including energy (traditional and renewable), real estate, telecommunications, water, manufacturing, transportation, entertainment, hospitality, and tourism. He was an early innovator in at-the-market (ATM) offering programs for equity, debt, preferred, and convertible securities, and has successfully implemented these structures for dual-listed issuers across Australia, Canada, Europe, and Israel. His work has included designing a wide variety of capital solutions—spanning equity, debt, and hybrid products—to help companies raise funds efficiently in both public and private markets In the structured finance arena, Mr. Colucci has closed over $4 billion in financing deals involving asset-based lending facilities, warehouse lines, and asset-backed securities (ABS), frequently involving receivables-based portfolios. Mr. Colucci holds a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law (1993), a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University (1988), and a B.A. from Cornell University (1983). He holds Series 24, 7, 63, 79 and 99 securities licenses. He is currently a Partner at Duane Morris LLP, where his practice focuses on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, structured transactions, and infrastructure finance and development.
